Dr. Walters is an experienced orthodontist with over 40 years of practice. He earned his undergraduate and dental degrees from the University of Minnesota and served as a dentist in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Hornet, an aircraft carrier. He received his orthodontic specialty training from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington. Dr. Walters has taught clinical orthodontics for over 20 years and is a “returning” staff member at the University of Pacific Arthur A. Dugoni School of Dentistry in San Francisco on two Tuesdays each month. Dr. Walters is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics and is a member of a number of professional organizations including:

Dr. Walters has also severed as a volunteer on numerous Central and South American Missions as a clinician treating patients with facial clefts.

He has enjoyed his chosen profession and recently returned to active practice after a short time in semi-retirement. “I love my work too much to stay on the side-lines when there are so many exciting developments in Orthodontics. Re-entry has allowed me to completely update my practice including the appliances and techniques we use.”
